    Default Ankle/shin pain

I have recently started getting pain just above my ankle and the start of my shin at first I thought it could possibly be shin splints but it does not hurt when I walk or run and there is no swelling. It is a little bruised but that's starting to disappear, it only hurts if I rub/massage it? Does anyone know possibly what this could be? I'm currently in training to join the army and think it's just because I have recently upped my training but don't get why it done hurt when I exercise!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
It is probably to do with an increase in training. I shouldn't worry too much if it isn't causing pain on any activities.
It may just be tender to touch because of the extra workload.
Just make sure you maintain full range of motion at the ankle. If it starts to cause problems during (or after) exercise then stop and seek professioanl help.
    Good luck!
