Default Fractured Fibula, still having issues

Fractured my fibula just above left ankle 1 1/2 years ago. Had a cast for 10 weeks. I have not had a pain free day since. You can see in the photo where it swells up some and it hurts almost constantly. I also get numbness down the left side of my foot to my 2 last toes (pinky toe and one next to it).
Any ideas what it could be?
I lost my job and don't have insurance so do I have any other options for help on this?

    Thanks!!

Was it checked when the cast came off that it healed properly? That would be my guess.
Were you given any form of rehabilitation programme? If not then you could try this. But ideally I think you need to get a specialist to look at it.

It was checked and was healing slowly. I have no job or insurance. Do I have any options for getting it looked at?

    Hi
Sorry but I'm not sure on your options as we are UK based and so have a different medical system. Do some research around ankle rehab.
Firstly you need to regain all the mobility in the ankle by doing mobility exercises and stretches. Then when this is improving, start to strengthen it gently.
