Default I Need Ankle supporting Footwear???

I have had multiple sprained ankles (without tears) and after a long rehabilitation period am nearly back to playing sport again. i am looking for football boots and running shoes that will offer a little extra support for my ankles.

I can run without problem, but landing from jumps seems to be the biggest issue and im hoping the extra support will cushion me enough that i can train and build the supporting muscles back up??

Any thoughts are really greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Hi
To my knowledge there aren't any boots or running shoes available which are specifically designed (or even just more helpful than others) in preventing ankle sprains. You would probably be better with a support or taping to help prevent you turning the ankle over again.
I would recommend trying the Donjoy strapping elastic ankle support which is available here:

It is a very lightweight and slimline support which provides the kind of support you would get from a physio taping, which you can do yourself very quickly and can be used again and again.
