Default Outside calf pain, inner arch pain

Ten months ago I was training for a 10 km race. I was near the end (I gradually increased my running distance and stretched afterwards) and made it to 8 km. Three days after my run I developed a pain in my arch that became so severe I could barely walk or stand. It hurt whether I was standing or resting. I dropped out of the race and rested as well as iced the foot. Months went by and the foot pain did not go away. I started going to a chiropractor that said my subtalor joint was compressed, in which she proceeded to release the pressure over a period of three months and prescribed me a custom orthotic. That didn't help. Going to her I realized my outer calf muscle also felt very tight. I got a few massages on the leg to no avail. I started seeing an acupuncturist a couple of months ago and the pain is even worse after she treats me. She also thinks my problem is emotional and I am 'hiding' emotional pain in my foot. I am aware of the stresses in my life but I dont believe my foot could be in so much pain due to my emotional stress. Saw my general practitioner and she said 'I don't know.' Really helpful. I work a job where I am on my feet for 9-12 hours a day. Ive had 5 days of rest during Christmas holidays and it hurts just as much. What is going on and what should I do?

    Hi
    Have you had a x-ray?
There may be a stress fracture in the foot?

I had an X-ray to rule out a stress fracture. Came back normal.

You said you had massage on your calf muscles. Have you also tried stretching them several times every day for a 2 week period ot maintain the increased length from the massage. This may help.
If not, I would try a podiatrist

Yes I've tried stretching too. I stretch at work about 10 times a day and then different stretches at home. Going to see a well known sports injury specialist in two weeks.
