    Default Pain in lower calf

I've been running for a couple of years and the past few months I've had some problem with pain in my lower calf. It has been there for a short period without giving any real problem until the last week. The calf is very tight close to the bone on the inner leg.
When I run I feel that this is now starting to cause the rest of the calf to tighten .
It feels as if it maybe related to the ancle or the area around.

Is there any good method to massage out or remove tightness in this area, I've been using a foar roller but it doenst seem to go deep enough.
Or are there any ways to stretch this area(as it seems to run from the achiles along the bone and joining the calf.

    Sorry for long winded question

    A frustrated runner.

I would visit a professioanl sports massage therapist. Whilst foam rollers are good for myofascial release, they don't compare to a proper massage when it comes to loosening the muscles.
Make sure you stretch several times a day, both the Soleus and Gastrocnemius muscles.
Make sure you have some rest from running and address any other issue which might be causing problems, such as footwear and overtraining.
