Default Please, please help..lower leg pain

Several times over this past year, I have experienced pain on the outside of my lower left leg, about one inche below my knee after running It has gone away after a few days in the past, but this time, it hurts more. Initially I thought it was calf pain, but now not so sure. It feels deep in my leg, not really like muscle soreness, and if I press on the right spot - ouch, it hurts. Hurts slightly to walk and flex my foot up and down. I have stopped running (or doing anything which aggrevates this) and doing the usual R.I.C.E. I've had injuries in the past, gone to Ortho and PT, and do not object to either. I just can't figure out what this injury is, and I would like to know in order to treat it correctly. If anyone has an idea, please share. I would appreciate it! Miss running! Some of my thoughts after searching the internet were: peroneal injury, fibula inury?? Just guesses. Thanks for any help.

I think peroneal injury is very possible.
Make sure you stretch your calf muscles thoroughly, some massage would probably help.
Once its pain free on a daily basis, make sure you have corrected anything like might be causing it (such as wrong trainers or running too much too soon etc) before you start running again.
