Shin bumps
To start, as you can tell from my posts, I get a lot of weird injuries.
As for my shins, in 2006 I went for a 3 mile run in China (doubt the location matters, but interesting none-the-less). Now I'm not much of a runner, I bike a lot, but the running thing was new.
I didnt' really stretch before the run, but midway through I did, and my shins didn't hurt, and I was doing well. At the end of the run there was still no pain, but I put my hands on my thighs to take a breather and noticed 5 very large bumps on my right shin area, and 4 on the left. They didn't hurt at all, but they made the skin around my shins very tight.
The bumps lasted for about a week and a half after that, slowly deflating and disappearing. They were mildly soft to the touch (in that if you pressed down you could make an indentation) and were almost perfect circles.
If that isn't strange enough, if I ever go running now, I get the same bumps in the same places.
I was wondering if I tore my fascia or if something else weird is going on. Any suggestions would be great. The only problem, everytime I've gone to see a doctor about this, I haven't been able to get them to reappear with gusto--they will appear (when standing) but as soon as I sit they seem to go away (that was not the case initially, but ever since that generally happens).
Thanks for reading this and any/all comments.
