    Hi,

Please do not just try to carry on running. I don't know about casts but it will certainly do more long-term damage. Pain is there for a reason!

Have you tried all of the treatments you mentioned, all in conjunction, at the same time? Not just stretch for a week which didn't help, so try a couple of massages, no help so changed trainers etc etc?

You have done a lot of the right things, but I just wondered if you have done an intensive period of treatment where you do everything at the same time? Did you get your feet assessed? Have you tried ultrasound?

Is there any other type of training you can do which doesn't put the impact on your shins but will keep your fitness up? Cross-training, cycling etc?

yes i have been doing one thing for a wk then changing, i get so mad and just try the next thing. so if i put them all together at the same time it should help?

I went to a shoe shop and they had a thing to walk on and they told me i needed shoes for feet that roll in so they sold me the shoes. this was a few wks ago and it helped the first few times i went running. Today i noticed im getting pain on the outside of my shin aswell could the shoes be wrong for me? i was goin to get some innersoles too which ones are the best?

I went to the doc and he didnt know much about shin splints so he didnt do anything for me. I want to see the right person that will be able to help me.

I have been running anyway trying to just run through it but my shins are that sore i cant even touch them and they keep me awake at night. I find running on the tredmill is not as bad and on the bike is ok but will that get me as fit as running out side?
