I injured my knee about 7/8 months ago whilst playing football. I took a shot whilst running at high speed and landed awkwardly on my right knee, twisting it as I fell. I had appointments at the hospital in the following weeks but there was nothing obvious they could diagnose from their initial diagnosis.

Finally got sent for an MRI after 3 months, which showed a partial tear of my meniscus and a strain on my ACL. I've recently (11 days ago) had keyhole surgery to sort out the meniscus tear. The surgeon also said that although my ACL is not torn it does show slight laxity. I'm due to start physio and ACL classes to rehab this.

I just wanted the opinion of others who have been in the same boat on how succesful good rehab is for an injury like this in terms of getting back to sport? I want to be back playing football but I'm in no rush and will take whatever it takes.
