acl tear in footballer 13yrs

can anyone give me info on getting to see a surgeon who will look at a 13yr old with a complete acl tear in dublin. temple st. said they can't do it and referred us to cappagh who won't see him, great footballer and is devastated now, any clue thanks michelle. ps. is doing pre surgery ph. ijury 6 weeks old had mri to confirm

I think that ACL reconstructions or reparis in children is a bit of a controversial subject, with different surgeons either saying - don't operate, or even if they do, which method to use. This is obviously due to the child still growing.

I think you would need to find a specialist knee surgeon, and maybe even one that specialises in pediatric procedures.
