Coldness is usually an indication of a poor blood supply, such as when people have cold hands and feet. There may have been some damage to a blood vessel with the ligament tear, was there a lot of bruising?

If this is the only sensation then I wouldn't worry too much, but just keep an eye on it for numbness or discolouration.

    Default cod knee

There wasn't major bruising although it took many weeks to be finally pain free.

Is the there anything i can do or take to rid the coldness like hot baths/heat treatments or any extra exercises
The only symptom is get now is a slight ache but nothing major

There aren't any exercises which would specifically be good for this although all exercise increases blood flow and temperature. Another alternative is a neoprene support if it is really bothering you.
