    Question Grade 2 MCL ?

Its been over 2 weeks since i injured my Left MCL and it still doesnt seem like its getting any better. After reading about the symptoms on this site it feels like its a grade 2 sprain or maybe a slight tear, the area is still tender with slight swelling and when moving my foot right to left (outwards) it feels moderately unstable with considerable pain.

Ive got a few of questions has i have never injured this part of my body before.

    1. How long should i expect not to be able to train for ?

    2. Whats the best way to treat this injury ?

    3. Is there any knee strengthening excercises that i can do and at what stage should i start them ?

    Hi
A grade two injury you can expect to be out for 6-8 weeks.
Treat it with initial rest, followed by mobility and strengthening exercises.
You can start knee strengthening as soon as execises are pain free to do so. Just muscle contractions initially and then straight leg raises, calf raises, mini squats etc.
