Default Hit Inside of my Right Knee

    Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I was playing soccer and was in goal. Someone took a hard shot and I stuck out my right knee out to block it and the ball hit me on the inside of my right knee. I felt no pain but after the game I felt pain on the inside of my right knee. I didn't think anything of it and thought it was just a bruise and would go in 3 or 4 days. It has been 2 weeks now and still the pain has not gone. I feel pain on the inside of my right knee, there is no bruising or swelling. It especially hurts when I get up in the morning. I am quite surprised it this has caused me so much problem as I wouldn't have thought that a knock like that would be this bad. There seems to be no sign of improvement.

Would anyone know how best I can treat this? Any replies would be much appreciated.

    Thanks.
    AJ

    Hi
It may have caused some damage to your medial ligament, or it may just be a contusion (deep bruising).
After 2 weeks if there has been NO improvement then I would advise you to get it looked at by a PT or similar. They can assess it to determine the problem and provide the appropriate treatment.
