Me again,

Training is coming along slowly, but wanted to ask some advice on knee braces.
ive been wearing a hinged knee brace when playing football since my acl reconstruction, but im finding that it causes my leg to trail because its so heavy. My trainer is also saying that it will limit the development of the quadriceps, which i can understand, and has suggested a patellar band instead- my only worry is that this wont provide the protection from any lateral movements

any advice?
