    Default knee clicking

Whilst playing football "soccer" on Sunday made a tackle with an outstretched left leg, substaining a knock to the inside of my knee. From that moment felt a clicking in my knee. Continued playing with mild discomfort. Later that evening and following few days have had some pain around the knee, but not overpowering. Knee continues to click with walking and is especially noticeable going up stairs. It is now Wednesday and I am wearing a knee support. Note: Im in my early 50's and luv my football and refereeing. What to do?

Continue to rest it and wear the support for a couple of weeks. Also try to gently stretch the quads, hamstrings and calf muscles.
If after 2 weeks there is no change, visit a sports injury professional for an assessment. Don't try to play on it as you may only make it worse!
