knee pain 7 years after injury, bursitis in same leg
let me start off with a brief history. i have bursitis in my right hip. i've had it for 9 years. i also sprained my knee on the same leg 7 years ago. about 2 months ago my knee started hurting again. (my hip kind of aches all the time, but my knee i usually have no problem with) i also have flat feet. my knee has been hurting every day for 2 months. i take advil for it which lowers the pain but it always comes back, i ice my knee twice a day for at least an hour. but my knee keeps getting worse and worse. i can barely walk up and down the stairs in the morning, its also hard for me to climb the ladder at work. i basically have a permanent limp from my hip problems, and my spine is slightly curved from putting all my weight on my other leg, so basically my leg is messed up. i have been to physical therapy for my hip and gotten cortizone shots in my hip. i would go to the doctor but i have no health insurance and i can't afford any treatment. fortunatley, i just started working at safeway, so in 6 months i will have health insurance. until then. i have no idea what to do for the pain, or what might be wrong with my knee. any ideas? it keeps getting worse and worse, i don't know what to do. i'm only 23 years old and i don't know how worse this is going to get. any help or ideas would be awesome. i also forgot to add that if i touch my knee it hurts like a bruise, pretty much around the kneecap area, and when i went to a doctor a couple years ago he said that muscle on the side of your leg that connects your knee to your hip was "as tight as a banjo string"

I'm no expert , I'm just quoting what I remember . I went through something similar - damaged my knee joint through overuse walking around a mountain with a heavy pack - hurt for a year afterwards with occasional sharp pain . I did an online ''diagnose me'' , paid the 'this week only half price ' fee after not replying to the first offer and it suggested I do a 'de-tox' stating that toxins in the body can cause your body to now know that it has fixed a problem so it keeps sending white blood cells to the area and actually causes inflamation that causes the pain .
I'm not saying this is your problem or that their statement is correct but it definitely worked for me - I did a detox [ bought a kit from the pharmacy , drank lots of water and ate lots of vegetables ] and it actually worked - the pain went away . Eating lots of rich food can also aggravate the situation .
