Default Knee Support?

Hi,

I am after a good knee support that will enable me to continue to play sport without pain from my patella tendon.. i have been out of sport now for well over a year and feel i am ready to start playing non competetively again, however every now and then i do get some mild pain from my knee

i think this may be due to the muscles around it being weak and feel that doing a bit of sport with some extra suport will help improve them. Obviously let me know if i am completely wrong here!

Can anyone recommend to me a good knee support, i want to spend around the £100 mark.. i was thinking maybe one of these http://www.return2fitness.co.uk/Supports_And_Braces/Knee_Supports/muellerhg80bracetriaxial

or maybe something even more robust?? the main thing that causes me discomfort is impacts from running, will this help?

many thanks!

chris

Hi!
What sport is it you play?
The Hg80 triaxial is a great brace, its one of the most supportive and also pretty comfortable which can let a lot of the braces down.
The only problem you may find, depending on the sport you play, would be the metal hinges down the side....some sports do not allow this. Check it out in the rules but otherwise it should be a good brace to support your knee from pain and weakness

Hope this helps

Heidi
