    Default my knees are sooooo achy

    my knees seem to be getting achier by the week . i squat heavy every sunday and as usual my knees today ache so much to bend /squat and stay like this till virtually the next squat session . will any kind of supports help my knees and what type .
    im not sure if my knees are down to wear and tear, arthritis, muscular imbalance( i have tight hamstrings and glutes)
    any advice ,tips would be appreciated

    Muscle imbalance could be contributing. It could be a case of mal-tracking of the patella and muscle imbalance can cause this, although it is usually a case of tight lateral musculature on the outer thigh and weak inner quads.
    However, if you know these problems exist, then definately try to correct them through stretching and soft tissue therapy such as massage.
    A knee support may help, provided it is one with an open knee and an area of padding surrounding the entire knee cap to prevent mal-tracking.
