    Default Pain in both knees

I have pain in both knees it can happen at any time even before i get out of bed in the am. It feels like it is completely through the whole knee. Sometimes wraping them in a warm towel helps. Also right below the kneecap i have lumps that have been growing which i think is osgood sclatters. They can be very tender to the touch. You can take my kneecaps and move them around a lot. In my job we use pallet jack to move pallets up to 4,000 lbs can this be some of the problem? Thanks Tom

I also cannot have my knees bent for very long or stand without having to move.
My thighs also ache all the time. Stair hurt also.

I would suggest you have a case of patellofemoral pain. This can be caused by a number of factors, although mainly muscle imbalance and faulty lower limb biomechanics.
As for osgood schlatters, this normally only occurs in adolescents, up to 18 as its due to the attachment of your quads not being fully calcified (i.e. soft bone).

I would visit a specialist (physio/physical therapist) to get a thorough assesment to identify your individual cause.

Thanks Heidi for the replys. I was told when i was young that i had osgood shlatters with a roughness under the knee cap. When i hold my knees and move them i can feel grinding and popping on both inside and ouside of the knee. My thighs also ache all the time. I have a visit with a ortho doc in a few days for my right arm so i will ask. Tom

    Hi again!

That would make sense. PF pain is also often linked with (or sometimes thought to be the same as condromalacia patella (the roughness under the kneecap which you describe).
Have a look at this link:

The rehabilitation, strengthening and stretching pages have some ideas which may help.
