    Default patella tendonitis massage - bulge afterwards?

    yesterday i gave my jumpers knee a short massage and a few minutes after i noticed a soft painless bulge around the tendon. this was after about 6 days of no strenuous stress on the tendon. i have had a similar bulge in the past after an ice massage. does anyone know what could be causing this painless bulging?
