Sharp Pain at the back of my knee
Hi,
at the beginning of this year I started feeling sharp pain at the back of my left knee. It’s a sharp pain as if I had torn something, and after, the knee just wouldn't support my body and I would just limp and would have to stop the activity. I used to play futsal but I don’t remember that I injured it during a match.
I feel this pain; after few minutes I'll start playing football, after stopping from a run or jogging (once I stop I’ll start feeling the pain and I can’t do one more step), after doing a couple of squats (without weight) and every time I start bending my knee with my body weight on that leg alone.
During this year I visited 2 medical consultants. The first one told me to do an MRI Scan but nothing suspicious was shown there and after he referred me to a physiotherapist to give me some exercises as he thought it’s a flexibility issue and that I have weak quadriceps. After measuring the circumference of my legs the physio found out that the left one was 1cm less than the right and he gave me some exercises to strengthen the quadriceps. I was a bit sceptic about this and after few months I visited another medical consultant. Due to the fact that after several months, the problem was not solved naturally and I had a clear MRI Scan, he suggested to undergo an arthroscopy operation. I did the operation and after he told me that I had a small tear in my meniscus.
Now I'm in the 6th rehabilitation week of the arthroscopy/Meniscus surgery and again I started to feel the same pain as soon as I started to bend my knee to do some normal life activities.... Can anyone tell me what might be the cause of this pain please ? Seems that I cannot get rid of this pain.
Thanks in Advance.
