Default Son injured his knee at basketball tonight...

My 6'3" son had two of his team members(who are just as big as him) slam into him tonight at practice. They hyperextended his knee. There is no swelling but he says that he has pain toward the top of his tibia and at the top of the knee. He says that he is having a pins and needle kind of feeling in his foot, but there is no swelling. Should I take him to get it checked out?

    Yes

Its definately always worth chacking something like this out, especially if there are neural symptoms involved.

    Thank you,
I'm a respiratory therapist but I don't know what to look for in a knee injury. My husband said he'd be fine, but I figured that the pins and needles wasn't a good sign. I'm taking him to the Dr. first thing today.
