Default Sore knee after spin class/body pump

Hi, wonder if anyone can help, I did a 45min spin class last night (have been doing a weekly spin for approx 2 months now). I found that my left knee was "clicking" on almost every rotation, it didn't really hurt at all so I carried on. I then did a 1hr body pump class and my knee felt sore doing the squats and lunges by the end of the class my knee was really quite sore.

On the drive home my knee was "burning" and when I got home and could look at my knee there was an approx 2cm swelling on the top of my knee right in the middle. It is a red line with bruising around it. I have not knocked my knee and the bruising/red line is exactly where my knee feels sore.

This morning the bruising and red line is still there and my knee is still burning, but if feels like a cold burn, if that makes sense!

Please could anyone let me know if there is any cause for concern, or am I ok to go to my yoga class tonight???

    thanks,
    mojo

    Hi
I am surprised that bruising appeared when there was no 'incident' that resulted in sudden pain.
I would say you're best to not do the yoda today and rest it completely.
Apply some ice and site with it elevated as much as you can over the next day or two.
Then see how it is. If it persists, get yourself to a sports injury specialist.
I'm not sure what the problem could be, but a full assessment should reveal it.
