    Default Still no improvement

    Hi Heidi

Sorry to keep posting on here, I am waiting for my scan date to come through regarding my knee injury.

Over the past couple of weeks my knee really has not shown any signs of getting better. I am experiencing several problems in and around my knee area.

Firstly the back of my knee still feels like it is going to lock and give way and if I stand up straight and just move my knee backwards and forwards (hyperextension) I get a sharp pain at the back of my knee first which then goes through to the front of my knee and then eases off. It is almost like my knee is still bending back more than what it should which is why it is causing the pain.

I still have a pain on the outside of my knee which is firstly seems to be when I twist my lower leg in certain ways. It also occurs when I use the hamstring pull machine the pain gets to the point where I cannot exert any more force as it hurts that bad. It also happens when I try to run at 3/4 - full sprinting pace the pain is that bad I literally cannot go any faster and when I do I get the pain instantly which then turns to a throbbing pain and again eases off.

The last pain I have is on the inside of my knee which is a totally different pain in that it is really tender to touch. When you rub your finger over it, it feels like it is more on the bone than anything else and when rubbing over it there feels as though there is a little flap of some sort.

I am now starting to get really concerned as I seem to have 3 different specific pain areas on my knee. Could one of these injuries be the result of all 3 injuries?

I can however seem to balance ok on my injured leg as well as hopping about and running at a gentle pace. Part of me thinks some ligament is torn or maybe some cartilage injury? With all this information would you think surgery may be required? I really cannot see any other alternative as surely with me resting for the last 6 - 8 weeks there I must be able to feel some improvement.

I do appreciate you cannot give me a definate answer and I will wait and see what the scans etc say but any information is truly appreciated. All I want to do is get back playing football!

    Thanks Again

    Kane

Also forgot to mention that I have a lot more forward movement of my fibula compared to my un-injured leg.

    Thanks

Again forgot to mention about the front of my knee - when squatting down I get a sharp throbbing pain which eases off when I stand up.

    Thanks again
