    Default Strange Sound, Swelling, Pain

I guess I should start by saying my left knee has been week for several years due to a minor gymnastics twisting injury - it was never bad enough to see a doctor about, though.

Last week I squatted down to get something off a low shelf and my knee kind of popped/grinded and hurt extremely bad. It immediately started swelling and within two hours was really, really swollen. Before the swelling got too bad it was weak/wobbly and felt kind of strange.

The swelling is gone now, but I still have moments that it feels slightly weak. I don't feel scared to walk on it, though and it's not painful at all. The only pain I notice is a crampy feeling after I've been standing for a while and an occasional shooting pain.

I had an MRI yesterday and have an appointment with an orthopedic doctor tomorrow, just wondering if anyone had any insight for me. I have no idea what to expect from him tomorrow.

    Hi
This could be a number of things such as cartilage injury or even ACL injury so I wouldn't really like to speculate.

wait to speak to your Dr and take it from there.
