    Default 10 year football injury!

hi everyone, i have been carrying a football related injury for the past 10 years. Have gone through surgery(by orthopedic), leech treatments as well as medication(neurologist) but to no avail.
it all happened when some guy while trying to kick the football missed and hit me in my left thigh just behind my knee, i fell down with a sharp pain and couldnt even stand least of all walk for the next couple of hours.
Went to an orthopedic after a month or so when i could walk without any pain; he simply felt that part and kept pressing which resulted in a swelling and pain because of which it became difficult to walk. So he said to go in for surgery and removed the clot.
However the pain never went away and next time i went to see him he said that perhaps the clot is within the muscles and it would be best to cut the muscles open and remove the clot which would result in 'SOME' loss of power.
I never went back to him.... went for leech treaments for blood clot but that didnt work either.
Then went to another senior orthopedic who suggested an MRI scan but nothing appeared in it and he said the pain occurs due to the surgery as the skin had grown within...
Basically never felt the pain while walking but when i sat on a chair; the edge of the chair and the back of my knee would press against each other causing lot of pain... sometimes the pain would appear as a swelling all by itself!
Went to neurolgist too but his medicines didnt work at all
Please tell me my next course of action!

You haven't tried a physical therapist or rehab exercises etc. These should be done after such an injury and after surgery.
Don't have any more surgery unless they know exactly what has happened and what they are going to do about it.

hey thanks for replying.... yes i am not going to go for another surgery now at all. I do go to gym and that has helped in my left leg gaining its strength back plus i was told by a chiropractor(yes that too!) to sleep with my legs up in the air moving about as we do in cycling, this was for reducing the blood clot.
some days back i used a machine which heats up and vibrates against my leg but that ended up increasing the pain! a swelling appeared as well, now i can feel the pain even when i walk and when i sit i can feel as though theres less blood in that area
if it is a blood cot and since i have obviously been given many blood thinning drugs which failed to work on them then what exactly can be done? i am at my wits end.... cant trust the doctors... they just simply dont seem to say that they cant do it and keep trying... they havent even been of 1% help in this case!
