Default I have pain since 2 hears ago

I was a mid-distance athlete for 5 years and the last year a had 3 times a hamstring pulled at the same place. I think the main problem is on the sartorius muscle because I feel it like it is cut. Since then I visited several doctor but nobody can tell me what I have to do for my problem. They gave my different anti-inflammatory and muscle relaxing drugs but nothing happens. When I was taking these drugs I was feeling better but when I stopped then I feel the same pain again. I went also to a physiotherapist but again the pain does not leave. Before 2 weeks I decided to start running again but I feel even worst. Can any one help?

    Hi,

You do mean hamstrings right? Because the Sartorius is not a hamstring muscle. It runs across the front of the thigh.

If you do mean hamstrings, then it is quite common for hamstring strain to re-occur. This is often due to a weakness following poor rehabilitation of the original injury.

Have a look at this page to see if there is any information you haven't tried:
    http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/back/hamstrings/hamstringstrain.htm

Weak core stability is often a problem in recurring hamstring injuries. The hamstrings attach to the pelvis which must be supported properly by these muscles. Also a build up of scar tissue, tightness and weakness in the hamstrings can be a problem.

Another area to think of - is it definately coming from the hamstrings and not of sciatic origin?

I think the main problem is the muscle is shown above. I feel that is muscle is cut. I feel it more when I close and up my knee.
