    Unhappy Inner thigh pain

Hi, I really hope you can help. A few months ago I started getting a sharp pain in my right inner thigh, sometimes towards the middle of the leg (lengthways), sometimes extending down towards the knee. It only hurts when I stretch the inside of the leg, for example, if I stand with both feet wide apart and legs straight, or any other similar inner thigh stretch. It doesn't hurt on a day to day basis, as this is an action most of us dont do in general life, so it doesn't bother me most of the time. I've tried not stretching for long periods to see if it will go away, but whenever I try to go back to stretching, it returns. I do a weekly fitness yoga class which I love and like to try to stay reasonably flexible. I thought it would go away but it seems worse than ever now.

Do you have any idea what the problem is and what I can do about it?

    Hi
It is obviously a problem with your groin muscles and it is a good sign that it is not causing you pain in day-to-day activities.
If you were to put a ball between your bent knees and squeeze inwards, does this cause any discomfort at all? What about if you do that same with the knees straight?
I would go to see a sports massage therapist who can work on releasing the groin muscles and breaking down any knots or adhesions in the area.

Thanks for the reply Heidi. I tried squeezing the ball and their was no discomfort either way, so I'm hoping that's good?

As I have had this for quite a while now I guess it would be best if I went to see someone, I cant seem to get rid of it and it seems to be getting worse again.
