I am slowly recovering from a lower back strain and have started to do some stretching and strengthening exercises. One that helps is lying on my bed with my upper body over the edge and with my hands behind my head raising my body, holding this position for 15 - 20 seconds, relaxing before I repeat. The second is standing upright legs ahoulder width apart and while keeping my arms straight lift them above my head so they are touching the side of my face. These work well although the ache does return after about 30 minutes of walking. I can repeat the latter of these 2 exercises while out and the ache disappears again.
Are there any other exercises/stretches that will speed up my recovery?
Many thanks
