    Default Numb outer thigh

About a year ago I felt a pain in my thigh, while running during game of 5-a-side football, as if I had been hit in two places by a sharp stone. It was sore for a few days but no real problem.

Ever since, the outside of my front thigh has been slightly numb, just beneath the surface. Have I damaged a nerve and will it eventually recover or should I seek help? I know I should probably have gone to doctor a long time ago but as it wasn't painful and didn't stop me playing football...

    Hi
Numbness is usually a sign of neural involvement, whether it be a direct nerve injury, or whether there may be an impingement of the nerve anywhere along its course.
The fact that you felt something in the actual area suggests that it isn't a case of referred pain, for example from the lower back.
But I do think you need to get it checked out by a sports injury professional. It may just be a case that the muscle has tightened after the injury and is pinching on the nerve.
