    Default Quad Pain

It has now been about 13 weeks since I hit my VMO quad muscle hard. There is a constant dull ache that comes from where I hit it and there is still some swelling in the area. I have seen 2 doctors and gotten an 2 MRI, one on my knee and one on my quad (both negative) and also have been doing physical therapy. Therapy isn't helping at all. I know I just need to get the swelling out of there but can't and don't know what this is. Everything I try to do whether it be rest it or use it more it is the same. I would have thought a bone bruise or something would have shown on the mri but nothing showed. The muscle is working but there is pain and constant pain just sitting at a chair. At times it will twitch and do other things. Is there something else I can be doing. How long can something like this take to heal even if nothing shows up on the mri's. After this long it should have been gone but it keeps lingering and wont get better. It seems like it is just stuck.

    Hi
What treatment are you getting? I presume sports massage and lots of stretching?
What about acupuncture, this may help.

Have tried electric stim, ultrasound, all kinds of exercise, ice massage, etc. no accupunture. When I stand up for about 30 min i can feel the fluid run down my leg then when I sit back down or crouch down it all comes back to the exact same spot in my vmo like it is protecting something. Not sure what as nothing comes up on either MRI's
