    Default Quad strain?

hey when i was playing soccer 2 weeks ago i felt a sudden jerk in my upper left quad and it hurt immediately. I continued playing that game and the following game ive put ice and deep heat cream as treatments and stech when i can (doesnt hurt). Since then the pain has dropped to above my knee to about the mid point of my thigh and the top my thigh where it meets the hip should i see a doctor or wait a week? and any guesses on wat it could be

    Hi
It is more than likely a quad strain. A grade 2 injury may take up to 4 weeks to heal. Just continue to rest and stretch regularly. You could start alternating hot and cold now to get the maximum increases in blood flow and reduce any excess fluid in the area.
If it is still causing pain in another 2 weeks then definitely visit either your doctor or a sports injury specialist.
