rectus femoris injury
Hello, I am new to this forum and IM struggling with an injury which has stopped me playing sport since June now and any kind of help will be appreciated. I am a keen amature footballer who has had a Gilmore groin on my left side since the begging of the year in June whilst playing a football match I got a sharp pain in my hip area on the right side, I carried on playing and woke up the next day in extreme pain down my hip area and quad. This lasted for 8 weeks when it started to feel better. I also thought this was Gilmore groin in my right side. In august I had a bilateral Gilmore groin operation which I thought would of resolved my problem. The rehab went well IM now in no pain in my groins but I still get the same pains on the right side when sprinting which iv now found out wasn't my groin but was my rectus femoris. Its been 5 monthes since this injury and iv had plenty off rest. Yet any sprinting or kicking the pain will come back and I wont be able to do anything. I really do not no what to do any more I havent played any football since June. if i rest for weeks the pain will go away but any kind of sprinting it will come back. its cost me a lot of money in operations and seing physios so if anyone could help me at all it would me much appreciated.
