    Default Ruptured rectus femoris quadricep

Hi! I got misdiagnosed 12months ago at A&E department with a strained thigh muscle and was told to go home and rest with Painkillers. After a delay in diagnosis the consultant confirmed a 3rd grade full rupture of the rectus femoris quadricep and surgery isn't a option now due to delay. He also says the hip and knee discomfort I get is not relatated to injury although the physiotherapist says it is! I feel slightly confused and let down by the treatment I received and I don't agree with the advice given.
Just seeking some independent advice and help.
    Many thanks!

    Hi
I would find it hard to believe that the problems at your knee are not associated with the rec fem tear.
Follow the physiotherapist advice, they are better qualified in injury rehabilitation than the surgeon who specialises in the inital repair and post op phase.
