Default Thigh pain in the middle of thigh

Hello, I am having a pain in the middle of the thigh when i Kick, I feel a twang of pain in the middle of my thigh, I had an injury in last season where i was playing goaly and i got kneed rather hard at that same spot, and then through the rest of the season i had slight problems with kicking. When i first kick the ball at practice i feel a slight twang of pain but as i go through practice it hurts more and more to the point where it hurts to walk. I can feel on my leg after practice that there is a knot of muscle that is very hard, and sensative to the touch. Any advice would be greatly welcome.

    Thank you.

    Hi
If you got knocked hard then you probably had a contusion:

This may have left the muscle in a poor state if you didn't get any treatment.
What I would recommend now is that you work on stretching the quad muscles and get yourself booked in for some sports massage. This will really loosen up the muscles and break down any adhesions and scar tissue in the area which may be causing the problems.
