Default Thigh pain worse when walking

Had a niggly little ache at the front top of thigh, sort of towards groin area, have felt it after a couple of runs over the last couple of weeks and it just felt like a tightish muscle. However it feels worse when I walk. I know the answer will be rest and ice, or is it anything else and could anything else cure it?

The location suggests a muscular injury. Try to stretch it on a regular basis (both the quads and hip flexors) at least 3 times a day. Rest is also a good idea. Sports massage may also be useful.
    Find example stretches here:

Heidi, thanks, certain it is a muscle problem so will take your advice. Might even have to rest it rather than run through it!!

I too would go with a sports massage. I know that they can be of great help. They can speed up the healing of a pulled muscle in my experience. You just have to make sure you go to someone who knows what they are doing. You should also make sure you are stretching good when you run to help prevent any new injuries.
