    Unhappy Adductor/Groin Pain Need Advice!

I am 38 yr old female, I jog (6.7 mph), 6 miles every day. A few days ago I felt a twinge in the pelvic area and ran through it. The next day I got a very sharp pain in the same area and radiating over to my left groin. I took the next 2 days off, because trying to walk or jog on the treadmill gave the same pain immediately. I am now on day 3 since the sharp pain, and I still have discomfort.
I see a PT tomorrow. I feel pretty hopeless when I read other posts about adductor strains, etc..anyone have any advice/recovery estimation, etc?
I can jump without pain. I can do sit ups, squats, even jog in place without pain. But uphill walking or speed walking, certainly jogging/running, hurts. The pain doesn't go down my thigh at all. It is the upper most crease of the inner thigh and groin, and then slightly back under my bottom. I can sit without pain. The pelvic area only hurts when I try to jog, or try a lunge on that leg.
    Thanks for your wisdom!

    Hi
I think it is best to wait until you have seen your PT. Groin injuries can be very complicated and could be one of a number of things, including a groin strain, or even other conditions such as osteitis pubis:

For now, continue to rest and avoid anything which aggravates it. Ice the area and stretch really gently, provided this is not painful.
