Bursitis - Iliopsoas area

I have had a pain near my hip. It sort of fits with bursitis but not trochanteric bursitis as I know that is right at the side of the leg. Mine is very slightly at the front, just down from the iliac crest and a little further out. Is there a bursa around there as I can feel a small little lump? Symptoms seem to fit with bursitis as repetive movements irritate that muscular area too.

There are a number of bursas in that area.
What has caused it - running it a common cause.
Muscle imbalance is usually the underlying problem.
