Default Finally a Solution i think!

    First of all hi everyone

Now let me tell you about my problem. I am a 37 year old plasterer and have been getting these terrible pains in (especially when i twist or step up) my groin/top of leg where my muscle meets my groin for about 6 years now, it feels like something is going to pop out and tear.

I have been to the doctors several times to be told it is groin strain although I thought i had a hernia but there is no lump. Now this pain is on and off but it is getting worse to the degree I can hardly walk when it happens, which is very frequent now.

I also used to weight train so this could have helped in this injury but i think it has come from work as I do some awkward movements. I need to sort this because it is effecting my work now which is not good.

Gilmores groin is the exact symptoms in my opinion. Could this be the culprit after all these years?
    I hope so : )

My doctor is no help with this, what can i do?

    Thanks shaneag13

Yes it could definitely be the problem. It is commonly overlooked and passed off as a groin strain.
You would need to see a private practice physiotherapist if you can't get an NHS referral through your Doctor. This would obviously cost but would be quicker and you may get better treatment this way.
If the physio agrees then you may get a referral for an MRI or Ultrasound scan and go from there.
    Good luck!
