    Default On going groin/abb pain..

Heya guys.. bare with me I tend to waffle alot!
Basically since January I have been suffering! I was just finishing a heavy leg session and thought I would do some abb exercises. I went onto weighted abb work on a machine and as soon as I went to do my first rep I heard a small pop to the left side about 2 inches away from my belly button. The next day I was suffering from slight abdominal discomfort and lower abb pain where my inguinal canal is and left testicle pain. I played american football a week later and immediately after and the next day I was in incredible pain my inguinal canal region was killing me and my left testicle felt like it wanted to burst... The pain has died down a little but im left with constant ball ache, tender inguinal canal area and tender parts of my abdomen. Its also very tender where my abdomen meets my groin and so after exercise I sometimes feel like I have pulled a groin muscle to. I have limited the exercise in the gym and cut out anything that puts a strain through my pelvis.
I have had a ultrasound and nothing was found but they didn't really look to much at my muscles rather my testicle and kidneys etc.. I have now been forwarded to a orthopaedics person which might take 5 months.. after 4 months of this already I dont know if I can manage over 1/2 a year with constant ache. I have recently got married and wish to start a family but I cant even have sex as I am left in agony afterwards.
I have been to physio, AnE, doctors, ultrasound place and no one so far knows what it could be and no hernias were found.. its really stressing me out and affecting the quality of my life. I have pretty much given up everything I enjoy because of this.

    Hi
I would guess gilmores groin or a tear of the abdominal muscles attaching to the ingiunal ligament. This could refer pain to the testicles.
I'm afraid there's not a lot you can do without seeing the specialist and getting an MRI or CT scan to confirm the damage. It's good that they have ruled out serious medical problems however (i.e. kidney problems etc).

update regarding my injury! NHS sent me all over the show, had an MRI, 3 ultrasounds and saw 3 consultants. All this since january. I continuously informed them I believed it was gilmores groin as had all the systems and even requested I see someone who would be able to diagnose it. Their final response to me was we dont know whats wrong with you so will send you to another consultant and he will perform key hole on you and see what is wrong.
After nearly a year of ruining my life I caved in and went private. Within 5mins of seeing simon marsh at the hernia clinic he diagnosed me with gilmores groin. I will now be going under the knife hopefully next month! only problem is im going to have to pay towards surgery which is why I went with NHS in first place.. oh well.

So in my experience with the NHS all they are good for is reffering you privately and looking on google...
