Question Hip Glute Groin & lower back pain ...old/on going injury?

Hey, I'm wondering if anyone can help me with any idea or names of different injurys in the hip/glute/groin areas.

Basically I got an injury whilst doing some training, in the forces in april 2009, and its still on going......(not an imediate injury, just had pain one day while doing phys)

Pain varies//dull, mild, severe, throb, spreading feeling, sharp, uncomfortable, OFF and ON but more or less has constantly been there for 2years. pain 2/3 times a day, on a good day I'd get pain once maybe. It moves around and varies day to day, pain can start anywhere in hip gluts groin or back, and tends to shift areas.

I find weight bearing annoys injury, as well as sometimes, walking, running, sitting, standing, feeling run down or groggy makes my injury tired and irritated, up hill and stairs are a trouble, driving and using the clutch can irritate after a while.

over 2years I have had, 2normal MRI scans which came back clear, but had swollen hip bone (for hip stress fracture) .... And last month I had a hip Anthrogram MRI (injection/dye) for a hip labreal tear which was also clear and nothing showing up.

I have tried acupuncture where I was pain free for 4weeks!!(longest time pain free).
Had all the physiotherapy in the world, with only very short term relief,& not much help because injury just always seems the same, persistant.

I am trying to do my own research for injurys and symptoms similar to mine. Im not finding the problem after investigating with hospitals/consultants/mri/physiotherapists.... so my next step is chiropracter.

    ANY THOUGHTS OR ADVICE PLEASE?
    THANKS FOR READING !

    Hi
A chiropractor is worth a go as it could be that your spine needs manipulating.
Did the physio give you an exercise programme to do? Or what treatment did you have?

Yes, over the past 2years I have had many treatments tried.

My individual program in injury rehab(for 7month) was strenght & conditioning/core stability. sometimes using bands to help stretch.doing stretches on gym ball... I worked on hip/back/groin/gluit areas. Stretches like clam shells, all fours & stretching out with the opposite arm & leg, Ive literally have had them all. when i was more advances 'on agood days' I would be on a mini trampoline bouncing off and on my bad side (the left). IV had all the physio in the world but seem to keep getting signed off, and on.

My rehab staff use to give me one on ones and give deep massage- this made me in tears but felt alittle better afterwards. I've had accupuncture. 3MRI's and anthrogram injection.
    seen hospitals/consultants/physios/specialists.

After researching and reading up on symptoms, I possibly feel/think it may be something similar to pirimorfis syndrome.... I have mentioned it before to consultant, but he decided to look at hip labreal tear which was negative.. Is it hard to diagnose this?..or do doctors prefere not to diagnose what maybe pirimorfis. Consultant said because I also have pain in my groin he would not be looking at PS.

I know there is something wrong//or something there//injury//
its just so fustrating 2years later nobody has a clue, and its ruined my career, there has to be something there

** the deep massage was on my buttox//glute are, very deep in, and also lower back.

I also had a small ball, which i had to role my left side on(glute area) which was said to loosen the muscle? although when I done this it would make it very week and alittle sore after.

Piriformis syndrome can refer pain down the back of the leg, but not usually to the groin area. However, muscular problems due to piriformis syndrome could be causing pain at the front of the hip.
It does sound muscular in origin as your MRI's have been clear and massage was tender and relieved it slightly.
