Default Hip, outer thigh pain and some odd symptoms

Has anyone experienced an injury with about these symptoms?

It started about a year ago, after one week very intense snowboarding trip (about 8hours a day). Lots of jumping, rotation movements, I also did fall once a bit bad to my left hip & buttock which most likely caused this. Still I was able to continue riding after falling still for few days. The pain got stronger about a week after the trip.

    Currently:
Dull pain (not sharp) on outer thigh, hip. Also inside of the thigh might be a bit sharper.
Also I've had this weird tingling sensation often in my Ankle (which is odd, maybe somekind of nerve)

Now when snowboarding I have to be quite careful with twisting, jumping. The outer thigh/hip/buttock gets quite easily worked up and aches more. The inside of thigh also can give slight sharp painspikes but not so constant as abductor area I think.

This ache / painstate is pretty much constant in normal life as well.

At the beginning: (about a year ago)
it was more intense pain, I couldn't lift leg up too much when standing as pain in thigh prevented this, also stretching leg outwards was quite painful.
I visited physiotherapist 5 times, wasn't much lasting help.
X-Ray and ultrasound have been taken both seemed fine. No MRI taken.

Physios don't seem so concerned as the pain doesn't agitate too much when they try moving my leg. It's more of a dull pain. In worst case scenario it's hip labrum tear, but I'd like to believe no.

I've came to conclusion it's probably somehow chronical pain.
Today I found article about Hip Flexor injury which it could be? Apparently it has a high possibility to become chronical.
Has anyone any experience of such injury and could say how does that feel?
Also I'm considering possibility of Hip Abductor injury, as this would explain my current dull pain on outer thigh.

Anyway what I'd want is some relief, maybe movements I could & should do at home. I've tried about half a year training my leg outer, inner thigh and also back thigh (buttocks). No help at least yet..

The pain is annoying and really prevents me of snowboarding on full, which I love..

I would guess it is a muscular problem and not anything like the labrum.
Possibiliy that when you landed on the outer hip/buttock you developed a contusion - deep bruising of the muscle, which if you didn't have any work on it in the few weeks after the injury, has remained and caused a problem in those muscles. This could even impinge on the sciatic nerve or femoral nerev (depending on where the impact was and where the pain radiates into the thig - front/back)
Have you done lots of stretching and had several sports massage sessions? If not I would recommend it.

    Hi,

First of all, it's very cool to get an answer, normally all the forums are pretty much silent.
I've did SOME stretching / workout during the year to hip which didn't bring any conclusive results.
Now I've actually started quite intense stretching to get relief, hopefully with results.

Piriformis stretches and workout, Hip flexor stretches and workout to it, front thigh stretch. These at least. Though I've done this intensive stretches only for about half a week now. This has for now brought a bit more pain to the leg but I'd hope it's a "good kind of pain" .

I haven't had sports massage sessions, I had 5x physiotherapist visits and he had some massage to the hip section though. I could maybe reserve a sports massage to the leg then.

The tingling sensation is occuring in ankle. Otherwise pain is mostly in front side, middle and sides of the leg, kind from the up-outside (hip) to the inside&downwards. Not really on buttock side.

There has also been short periods when I haven't had pain in leg (few days here and then) last time when I had about a week when I didn't do any workout / stretches to it.

I would think my possible contusion somehow includes the muscle on the outer side of hip and hip flexor perhaps as with stretching those muscles are very tight and give this slight "burning sensation" when stretching. Also those muscles are quite tight mostly on the following morning.
This only on the injured leg that is.

    Thanks!

EDIT: for some extra info, I'm pretty sure that 2 years ago (about 1 year before this what I'm talking about). I pulled a muscle in the same area. I was jumping and felt a pull on hip/groin area, it was 7th day riding, so most likely cause of overuse. The leg was hurting back then very much and was a pain to walk. But this pain went away after all in few weeks.
Anyway this might've left my leg a bit easier to get new injuries like this current (which has been a year)

Update! I went snowboarding last week and after one jump & bailing a bit I felt suddenly discomfort in the front-middle of hip area which escalated into more aching state.

Now it's again really painful to lift leg into car, or simply quickly lift the leg when on a sitting position for instance. Simply I think this lifting & twisting motion is the most painful. Like when trying to jump and rotate for instance.
Most worried I'm that it would be labrum tear (which sounds serious to me), but if the symptoms didn't sound like that to here I guess it's just another hip flexor pull etc?

I was thinking about just resting a week now and then begin flexing & rehabilitating again?
    Thanks, in advance
