    Default I have Osteitis Pubis

Having had a groin strain for several months along with abdominal pain I have now been diagnosed with the above.

I had been through Physio, hernia checks and an MRI and after nothing else worked this is what we now believe it to be, my sports injury specialist believes this to be the case.

He has advised I go back to my doctor to request and xray to see the extent of the damage and couldn't really say anymore.

I am unsure as to what happens now, I need to know if/how I can help ease the pain, what exercise I can do etc. I'm worried that the condition seems so rare that I won't get the help I need and will suffer for the rest of my life. Can anyone help?

    Hi
Osteitis pubis is quite rare, but that doesn't mean that Doctors etc do not know how to deal with it.
The best thing you can do right now is to rest it as much as you can, take ice and anti-inflammatories (check with your Doctor or Physio).
If the O.P. gets confirmed then go from there in terms of what treatment is offered to you. I know it must be fructrating for you to not know for sure and feel like you are waiting around. But just try to be patient and follow the advice given to you by your medical team.
    Good luck!
