    Default Post labral repair.

    Hi all!

I am 5 weeks post labral tear repair to my left hip and some bony work to correct a pincer impingement on the same hip.

My surgeon says I am doing well, and that I am progressing normally.
I am having very intense pain at the insertion of the iliacus, near the adductor tendon. We are working on gentle stretching of it, but it isn't getting that much better. I've had the adductor tendonitis since prior to surgery. I assumed (wrong!) that being 2 weeks on crutches and rest would have helped it. It is still flaring up like crazy. This may be because of the imbalances in the strength of my glutes. Post surgery, it's funny my left side of my behind just became almost concave, my muscles just atrophied!

Is there anything else that can help this, like Ultrasound or anything?

I'm working on rebuilding my core as well, but it's just a slow healing process!

    Thanks.

    Hi

Unfortunately I think with something like this is will be a slow road to recovery, especially if the injury was longstanding before surgery.
I would just follow your surgeon/consultant/physio's advice and try to be patient with it. They will know more about the injury/procedure/rehabilitation and you own individual case than anyone on here so are better placed to comment and advise you.
    Good luck!
