Default Cycling with an ACL injury???

Hi all,

Three weeks ago I partially torn my ACL in my knee. I have no problems walking and have movement in my leg from straight to 90 degrees bent.

I still have some swelling too.

My question is: Would i be doing my knee further damage by cycling? I'm only planning to visit the gym and lightly cycle just to ensure i don't lose to much muscle.

Cheers
Gav

If it is comfortable to do so then yes, go for it! Keeping the knee mobile and active as much as possible in the early stages is great for rehab of ACL injuries.
However, start very gently on minimum resistance and if there is any pain, stop immediately. Don't be tempted to do too much too soon.
