Default cold tingling testicles following groin injury

Hi,
Early January 2008, I believe I had a groin injury from 5 a side soccer in my lower stomach just below the belt line to the left. Probably a tear in the stomach muscle. Anyway, I took a complete break from all activities for 8 weeks. The pain is virtually gone from the lower stomach but over the past 4 weeks I had a bulging, pressure type feeling lower left groin. It went lower, eventually stopping about 1/2 inch above the scrotum deep in the joint where the pubic area meets the leg.
I went to the doctor and was examined. He states it is not a hernia and no problem with my hips. He examined the testicles and states all OK (I have also examined them and they seem normal)
He advised it to be a stomach muscle injury that will heal in time and advised to take ibrufen.
I have taken the ibrufen for the past week and done no physical exercise at all. I still have a slight pressure feeling above and left of scrotum (although not as bad) but now the testicles tingle, often shrivel up and last 2 days feel cold!
Can anybody advise what my problem could be? I am a worrier and am sort of hoping its just anxiety giving me these feelings.
Is what I am feeling consistent with a groin/stomach tear? Is it usual to feel these feelings 10 weeks aftyer the original injury?
Any help/advice/similair expierences would be gratefully received.
Thanks
S

Hi
I would seek a second opinion. Just to check. Coldness and tingling can sometimes indicate either a nerve or blood supply problem, which may have occurred at the time of your abdominal injury. I would definately try another Dr!
