Hi,
It appears that myositis ossificans is a very difficult condition to treat, especially once it has been going on for some time, such as in your case. All i can find in terms of long term treatment is anti-inflammatories and range of motion exercises. Surgery is a possibility, although most surgeons won't do this until 6-12 months down the road, as the sooner it is performed the more likely that the bone growth will just return. It is unlikely that an operation would be performed for you as yet, but it is worth talking to your consultant about Good luck!
