Resisted Supination / Pronation
Supination and pronation are the movements of turning the palm of the hand over. Supination ends with the palm facing up and pronation ends with the palm facing down.
- The elbow is bent to a right angle and the therapist grasps both hands around the wrist.
- The athlete tries to turn the palm upwards against resistance and then downwards against resistance.
- Ensure that the elbow is stabilised by the athlete’s side to avoid additional movements.
