Golfer's elbow is also called medial epicondylitis and is similar to tennis elbow, although on the inside of the elbow.
Golfer's elbow is common in people who perform repeated wrist movements. Symptoms include gradual onset of pain on the inside of the elbow.
Treatment is rest and regular cold therapy and anti-inflammatories. Sports massage and ultrasound treatments are very helpful, as may a brace worn around the upper forearm. Once pain free, wrist flexion strengthening exercises can be performed. If conservative treatment fails, a corticosteroid injection may be used.
