Taping for Morton's Syndrome

Simple taping technique to help relieve pain of Mortons syndrome or Mortons neuroma

The following guidelines are for information purposes only. We recommend seeking professional advice before attempting any rehabilitation.

The aim of this taping is to reduce the pressure on the painful nerve.

What is required?

  • 2.5cm (1 inch) non stretch zinc oxide tape.

Step 1

  • Cut a teardrop shape pad from foam padding and secure to the foot under the painful area.

Step 2

  • Secure the pad with a strip of 2.5cm non stretch zinc oxide tape.
  • The tape should not be so tight that it restricts normal foot expansion during activity.
  • Spreading the toes slightly when applying can help avoid this.

Step 3

  • Repeat the strips of tape twice more.
